Become the proud parent of one of 18 Houston Zoo animals participating in the Adopt an Animal program.
By adopting an animal through this program, you not only help in the care and feeding of that animal, but also support important education and conservation programs at the Houston Zoo. Some of the world wide conservation projects the Houston Zoo collaborates on include saving amphibians in Panama, supporting field research on tapirs in Brazil, and working with local staff of the Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary in Borneo on five vulnerable or endangered felines. With your help, the Houston Zoo can continue to aid wild creatures and their habitats all over the world.
Choose from one of four levels of support and any of the 18 wonderful animals available for adoption. Get the inside scoop on your animal's life story, favorite treats, and more! Your adoption will last one year and includes a photo of the animal and a certificate of your adoption.
When you sign up for the Guardian of the Animals level, you will also receive your name on a brick paver at the Zoo’s front entrance. Don’t miss out on this special opportunity – support your favorite Zoo animal today! When you adopt an animal, your adoption kit contains the following:

| $50 | Keeper of the Animals- Buy Now! Kit includes: All of the elements of the Friend of the Animals level plus a stuffed animal representing your adopted animal. |
| $100 | Protector of the Animals- Buy Now! Kit includes: All of the elements of the Keeper of the Animals level plus an Adopt an Animal plastic tumbler. |
| $190 | Guardian of the Animals- Buy Now! Kit includes: All of the elements of the Protector of the Animals level plus your name on a brick at the Zoo’s front entrance. The brick paver is 8” x 4” with up to two lines of text containing 20 characters on each line. |

When you make a donation to the Houston Zoo Adopt an Animal Program, your adopted animal will stay at the Zoo under the expert care of our keepers where you are welcome to visit it often!
