Houston Zoo Reopens Saturday, Feb. 29

1:00 p.m. Update:
The Zoo is open today, Saturday, Feb. 29, and back to normal operations, including food services.

9:00 a.m. Update:
The Houston Zoo will open Saturday, Feb. 29, however due to the continued water boil notice, there are a few limitations of service.

Restaurants and food carts will be open to sell water cartons and canned drinks only. We welcome our guests to bring their own lunch and snacks. We encourage our guests to bring reusable bottles filled with water since the fountains and refilling stations will not be in operation.

Additionally, we will ensure all restrooms are equipped with hand sanitizer. The safety of our guests is important and we will continue to follow the recommendations made by the public water systems officials.

Thanks to careful preparation from our animal team, the animals continue to have plenty of clean water.
