Tap into your wild side at Brew at the Zoo, our fall adults-only event! Experience a memorable evening at the Zoo after hours with even MORE drink options like your favorite craft ale, hard seltzer, cider, or canned cocktail. This event makes for the perfect date night or outing with friends.

Plus, you can go full beast mode now with our VIP pass which gives you early entry to Brew, a VIP lounge, and an exclusive VIP line at all of the bars across the Zoo.

All-Inclusive Fun:

  • Gather your crew for giant beer pong.
  • Giraffe feeding from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Chat with our keepers across the Zoo, visit indoor spots like the Reptile House and Galapagos Islands
  • Take a photo in our 360 Events Photobooth.
  • All games and activities are FREE with admission.

By attending Brew at the Zoo, you are helping save animals in the wild. A portion of your ticket helps protect local wildlife like black bears, armadillos, and pollinators right in your backyard.

Beer Pass $55
Includes an event pass, a commemorative souvenir cup, and six 4 oz. beer samplings from any of the breweries. Additional sample cards and drink tickets will be available for purchase on-site with a credit card only. Select breweries will have beer, ready-made canned cocktails, hard seltzers, and cider available for tasting.

Your VIP Pass unlocks all the perks of our Beer Pass, plus early entry to the event, dedicated VIP lines at each bar, and access to the VIP lounge with exclusive drink options and live music from JP Lee in our brand-new (air conditioned!) John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Reflections Event Hall and Terrace overlooking the Reflection Pool. Plus, meet ambassador animals from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the VIP lounge.

Designated driver, or just not a fan of beer? We still want you to join the fun! This ticket does not come with beer samples or a souvenir cup but does allow you full access to our event including live music, evening animal viewings, and more!

Adults 21+ only. No one under 21 will be permitted to attend the event. Last entry at 8:30 p.m. Last call at 9:30 p.m.

 

 

Featured Animal Areas to See

Explore the Zoo after hours and see animals and chat with our keepers from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the following areas:

  • Masai giraffes – plus you can feed them for free from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Visit our chimpanzees in the Great Ape Gallery
  • Spot our lions in African Forest
  • Watch our California sea lions swim overhead in Galápagos Islands
  • Go under the sea in our One Ocean Aquarium

Plus, see Komodo dragon feedings inside the Reptile House at 6:45 p.m. and at Boga’s exhibit at 7:45 p.m.

Experience live music in Masihara Pavilion from The Hi-Jivers, an early rock n’ roll/rhythm & blues band.

Plus, VIP guests can enjoy live music in our VIP lounge inside of Reflections from JP Lee.

Is this only open to guests 21 and up?

Yes, Brew at the Zoo is an adults-only event for guests 21 and up. No babies or children are allowed. Guests without a valid photo ID will not be permitted to enter.

Is the event only limited to beer?

No, additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. Other beverages include canned wines and hard seltzers at the concession locations, plus several breweries are bringing canned cocktails, hard seltzers, and cider as alternative options to beer.

If you purchase the Beer Pass, tastings can also be used toward the other beverage options available at each brewery.

Will there be keeper chats?

Yes, you will be able to chat with keepers from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the following areas:

  • Masai giraffes
  • Chimpanzees
  • Lions
  • Sea Lions
  • One Ocean Aquarium

Komodo dragon feedings:

  • Reptile House at 6:45 p.m.
  • Boga at 7:45 p.m.

Indoor areas for you to explore include:

  • Galápagos Islands
  • Reptile and Amphibian House

What food options will be available?

There will be plenty of food options available during Brew at the Zoo, including from our brand-new Jack’s Cafe and Cypress Circle Café, as well as our food kiosks around the Zoo. Place your order online ahead of time from Cypress Circle.

Note: Outside food and beverage is not permitted at this event. 

Can you bring outside food and beverage?

No, outside food and beverage is not permitted at Brew at the Zoo.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available in Hermann Park near the Zoo’s Main Entrance at 6200 Hermann Park Drive. There are also a few parking alternatives, including rideshare or taking the METRORail. Please note, that our Medical Center entrance will not be open.

What happens if it rains?

This event is rain or shine. There are no refunds.

Is smoking permitted

No, smoking is not permitted at the Zoo.
