The Houston Zoo is single-use plastic straw free, and we are asking Houston area bars and restaurants to be straw free as well! To date, partnering locations have eliminated over 862,200 plastic straws from their establishments, saving sea turtles in the wild. Join our wildlife-saving campaign using the pledge form below.
Camp Zoofari is an immersive experience for children ages 4-16. Campers explore the Houston Zoo, meet Zoo animals and make new friends while learning about animals and how to save them in the wild.
Join the team of over 350 adult volunteers (18 and older) who contribute their time to help make the Zoo a great place to visit and to save animals in the wild! Our adult volunteers are offered training, support, invitations to special volunteer appreciation events, discounts on concessions and Zoo membership, and the opportunity to develop new skills and make new friends!
