Asante Society events are a benefit of Asante members and their household (any children in their household under the age of 18). Your invitation cannot be transferred if you are unable to attend an event.

To provide the best experience for our Asante Society members at every event, we cannot allow members to bring additional guests. However, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Asante members can bring two (2) additional guests with them to the spring and fall cocktail events. Please contact us if you are interested in upgrading your membership so you can bring guests to these events!

Diamond Level members will receive four (4) complimentary tickets to Feast with the Beasts and ten (10) general admission tickets to Zoo Lights.

Just like with a regular visit to the Zoo during daytime hours, you can bring up to nine (9) guests to TXU Energy presents Zoo Lights Donor Night. Drinks and snacks are complimentary, with additional food available for purchase within the Zoo.

Only Diamond Level Asante memberships include a limited number of complimentary tickets to Feast with the Beasts. Please see the benefits listed above for more details. All Asante members receive a $10 discount on general admission tickets to Zoo events. Only Diamond Level Asante memberships include a reserved parking spot for regular visits to the Zoo. Please see the benefits listed above for more details. At all other Asante levels, you will only receive a reserved parking spot when you come for your one (1) private tour each year of your Asante Society membership. • Our Bronze Asante Society members will enjoy Front Row Access, a 45-minute experience that will include a reserved parking space for the day, a visit to (1) animal exhibit of your choice, and 1:1 time with an expert Zookeeper.
• Our Silver+ Asante Society members will have the choice of either Front Row Access or a Private Tour. Your 45-minute experience will include a reserved parking space for the day, a visit to (1) animal area of your choice, and 1:1 time with a Zookeeper. Most Private Tours can include going behind the scenes or a feeding experience.

Please check the policies associated with your Donor Advised Fund or IRA before submitting your request to ensure that you can receive a membership as a benefit for your donation. Additionally, some Donor Advised Funds or Charitable Qualified Distributions require that the fair market value of your membership (listed above) be paid from a personal account, while the balance of your membership can be paid from your Donor Advised Fund or Charitable Qualified Distribution.

No. To be an Asante Society member, you will need to make a personal gift of at least $1,500 to purchase an Asante membership.  Corporate matching gift programs are incredibly valuable for our Houston Zoo, and we are grateful to those donors who take the extra time to have their gift matched. Use our search tool to see if your employer has a matching gifts program.

Benefits of the Asante Society are only for the named members and their household (any children under the age of 18), so you cannot allow anyone else to use your membership card for entry into the Zoo. Gold Level memberships and higher include complimentary general admission tickets that can be shared with friends and family.

Asante Society members can name a third member on their membership cards as a designated “Kid Keeper.” This is a trusted friend, relative, or nanny that will be bringing the children to the Zoo often without the company of the named Asante member. This third member does not get invited to Asante events but can bring your children to the Zoo on any day that the Zoo is open to the public.
